Your Discovery Elementary PTO Supports…
At Discovery Elementary, our PTO is driven by a simple but powerful goal: to enrich the lives of every child who walks through our doors. We strive to achieve this by expanding learning opportunities beyond the classroom, offering engaging activities in science, technology, art, and math. Our commitment extends to creating a well-rounded educational experience by organizing fun after-school events that balance work with play and by encouraging students to take part in extracurricular programs like safety patrol, running club, and student council. Our dedicated team of parent volunteers plays a crucial role, not only supporting classroom activities but also orchestrating a variety of family-friendly events throughout the year.
The magic of our PTO lies in the collective effort of our community. It begins with the countless hours donated by passionate parent volunteers and is fueled by the generous contributions from families, friends, and local businesses. Together, these elements combine to create a vibrant and successful year for our students. Your support makes all the difference, turning our collective efforts into meaningful experiences and opportunities for every child at Discovery Elementary.
We need your involvement to make each year exceptional. As a member of our PTO community—whether you knew it or not—your participation can transform a good year into a great one. Explore our website to stay updated on our initiatives, reach out to us with your ideas for how you’d like to contribute, purchase spirit wear, or make a donation. Most importantly, engage with your children about the programs they’re involved in; you’ll likely find the PTO has played a role in making those experiences possible!

Welcome back, Discovery Elementary School families!
I’m thrilled to introduce myself as this year’s PTO President. My name is Jennifer Crossett, and I have children in Kindergarten and Second Grade. If you see me or any of the PTO board members around campus, please don’t hesitate to say hello!
We have an exciting year planned, thanks to the hard work and generosity of our community. Last year, we raised over $150,000 through our Cash Drive, Jogathon, Arts on the Green, and Dine-Outs. These funds will support fantastic initiatives this year, including our Makerspace teacher, Math Interventionist, the new Discovery Monster Bash, dances, and much more. We aim to be transparent about how your contributions enhance our school and bring even more support and programs to our wonderful community.
We hope to see you at our first meeting on September 9—your input is invaluable, and we’d love for you to be involved this year. Don’t forget to join us for our Rock and Roll Back to School Dance on September 6, and mark your calendars for the Discovery Monster Bash on October 26 for a fresh take on our Fall Festival. These are just a few of the exciting events we have in store for the 2024/2025 school year!
For more information on upcoming activities, how to get involved, and to check out teacher wish lists, please visit our newly refreshed website at www.discoverypto.com.
Feel free to reach out to me anytime—I’m here to ensure we have a fantastic school year together!
Best regards,
Jennifer Crossett
